Laura’s post (partum psychosis)

I’ve read Laura’s post over a year ago, and I just can’t get it out of my head ever since. I tried to reach her sever times to get her permission to spread her story in several ways, but I had no luck so far. I’ll keep trying anyway, and meantime use my own post for this purpose.

For me Laura’s true story is about asking for help, being vulnerable, being insecure, not knowing, being strong at times you feel the weakest ever. Along that it’s a story about overcoming the worst days ever, and eventually it’s about victory. It’s a story about a real woman showing her real perfectly imperfect life, knowing it’s going to help others out there.

I don’t know Laura, but I adore her since I read her story, for getting public, for showing a side of her that isn’t the prettiest, for her helping break the mental health stigma and showing that we are all vulnerable in our own ways, we should all support each other, we all need help sometimes, and we are all capable of overcoming the challenges we face, even the darkest of them.

For me personally it’s a great reminder that at the end of the day, we’re all real people, having real life behind the perfectly edited Instagram photos. And the more we show it, the more we help each other. Here is Laura’s story:
